What it does not cover
Storm damage, clogging from unmaintained debris, and damage from alterations made after installation are not finish defects, and they are not workmanship failures either. The document you receive states the full exclusions; if a failure does not match a covered defect, this page does not reclassify it as one.
What the workmanship guarantee covers
If a seam we sealed leaks, a corner we fitted opens, or a hanger we set lets go within five years, we come back and make it right. That is our own guarantee on our own work, written into your paperwork. It covers the installation, not later storm damage, debris buildup, or changes made after we leave.
How a claim works
Keep three things: the written estimate, the warranty document, and your cleaning and inspection records. If a finish defect appears, call us with the defect photographed and the document in hand; the document states the manufacturer's process, and we help you document the defect with photos and the estimate. If our workmanship failed, we inspect and fix it under the five-year guarantee.
Questions to ask any bidder
Does the quote include both warranties in writing? Is the manufacturer document supplied with the estimate, or only promised? How long is the workmanship guarantee, and what exactly does it cover? What records should you keep? A bidder who cannot answer those four questions in writing is selling a slogan, not a warranty.
